President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated Eniola Mariam Bolaji for securing a bronze medal in badminton at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. The 18-year-old athlete made history by becoming the first African to win a medal in Para-badminton at the Paralympic Games, clinching bronze in the women’s SL3 category on Monday.
In a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu praised Bolaji for her remarkable courage and resilience, which led to Nigeria’s first medal at the 2024 Paralympics.
He commended her for making the nation proud and highlighted her as an example of the talent, resourcefulness, and determination of Nigeria’s youth.
President Tinubu also encouraged Bolaji to continue striving for excellence and not to rest on her laurels.
