NEC Issues Deadline for States to Report on State Police Establishment

A 55-year-old woman, identified only as Ifeoma, reportedly collapsed and died shortly after giving a testimony at the Ministry Church in Ejigbo, Lagos State.

The incident occurred around 8:48 a.m. during Sunday service on September 8, 2024. According to reports, she passed away a few minutes later.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police spokesperson, confirmed the event on Wednesday.

Ifeoma had gone to the front of the church to sing songs of gratitude and share her testimony when she suddenly collapsed. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, then referred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was pronounced dead.

Hundeyin explained, “The Zonal accountant of the church in Ejigbo came to the station and reported that during testimony hour, Ifeoma came out singing to share her testimony when she suddenly collapsed. She was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, then referred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was confirmed dead.”

He added that detectives visited the hospital, but were informed that the woman’s husband and family had already taken her body to Anambra State, her hometown, for burial.

In a separate incident in May 2024, a 30-year-old man was reportedly drowned after visiting Elegushi Beach in Lagos for prayer.
