President of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune has received a fraternal and official welcome upon his arrival Wednesday afternoon in Tunis as part of a two-day state visit to Tunisia, at the invitation of his Tunisian counterpart, Kaïs Saïed.
Upon his arrival at Carthage International Airport, President Tebboune was welcomed by President Kaïs Saïed and senior officials of the Tunisian state.
The warm welcome granted to President Tebboune reflects the depth of the historical and strategic relations between both countries.
Presidents Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Kaïs Saïed listened to the national anthems of the two countries before reviewing a military detachment that honoured them, while 21 cannon shots rang out in honour of the distinguished guest of Tunisia.
This visit is part of strengthening brotherhood and bilateral relationships between the two fraternal peoples and the expansion of areas of cooperation for both countries.
This is the first visit of Saied’s official visits abroad, in implementation of a pledge he undertook when he was sworn in on October 23, 2019, that Algeria will be his first destination abroad.
