Gun-wielding terrorists invaded residences in Zokoriko and Kudenda, Kaduna South Local Government Area of Kaduna State in the wee hours of Friday, abducting a man, his wife, and three children.
The gunmen were said to have hit the community under the cover of the night, taking the advantage of the national outage which also affected parts of Kaduna State.
This is coming exactly a month after gunmen raided Kudenda community, killing two people and abducting Catholic Reverend Father, Joseph Akeke.
“I am tired, I don’t know what to do…we are all hiding in the ceiling right now…” a worried resident said in a Whatsapp voicenote while the attack was ongoing and hearable by residents in Agwa, around power plant road.
This morning, Caleb Bala, a resident around Agwa extension, Kudenda explained: “It was a disturbing situation, we couldn’t sleep last night because the tension was much, the gunshots were intense…and we just confirmed the man that was kidnapped repairs refrigerators.”
Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security, Samuel Aruwan confirmed that the state government was on the matter. There’s yet to be an official statement on the matter.
ASP Mohammed Jalige, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna said the Police is piecing up information and will swing into action, in order to rescue to victims.
