A new docu-series is set to air next year which will highlight the life of the iconic Brenda Fassie who was a popular musician during an era were black people had limited rights and a lot of restrictions.
Brenda Fassie, who was loved by many died at the age of 39 in Sunninghill Hospital on 9 May 2004 after allegedly overdosing on cocaine.
It was reported that the documentary is helmed by her long-time producer Chicco Twala, who has had feud with the Fassie family saying that he owned all material associated with the late star
Netflix will be celebrating her life with a documentary, which is set to air next year.
The biopic has yet to materialise. It’s unclear if Bongani Fassie is involved in the Netflix documentary about his mother.
