Armed assailants on Friday attacked a convoy of popular Nigerian pastor, Apostle Johnson Suleiman of the Omega Fire Ministries near Auchi, Edo state killing six.
According to the Edo State Police Command spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, Suleman is safe and sound.
The attack happened at the Water Tank Junction along Warake-Auchi Road. Three policemen and two civilian drivers attached to the Apostle were killed in the attack. A domestic aide was also murdered while a search is ongoing for a second domestic worker.
The DPO of Auchi Division and his team mobilised to the scene of the incident on receipt of the information and killed one of the armed assailants. Security operatives have launched an aggressive manhunt for the fleeing miscreants.
