Cameroonian international Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has signed a contract extension with Italian Serie A leaders Napoli until June 2025, with the possibility of a further two-year extension. The 26-year-old midfielder played 30 times for the club on loan from Fulham last season before joining Napoli on a permanent basis in May.
He has now been rewarded for his efforts this season, which has included three goals and five assists in 17 games across all competitions as Napoli seeks their first league title in 33 years.
Zambo Anguissa, who was included in Cameroon’s World Cup roster for Qatar, has five goals in 42 Indomitable Lions appearances.
Cameroon were quarter-finalist in the 1990 World Cup and has been drawn in Group G with five-time champions Brazil, Serbia, and Switzerland, whom they will meet first on November 24.
