Despite Mohamed Salah’s struggles, Liverpool overcame Southampton 3-1 at Anfield on Saturday in the Premier League. The Egypt captain played the entire game as he was well-guarded and was not allowed to wander freely. The 30-year-old attempted three shots, two of which were successful, and finished the game with 39 touches.
For Southampton, Mohammed Salisu of Ghana played the whole game with 60 touches of the ball, while Nigeria international Joe Aribo was introduced in the 82nd minute.
Salah might participate in Egypt’s international friendly match against Belgium on Friday in Kuwait, Salisu is on Ghana’s World Cup roster and might make his debut against Switzerland on Thursday, and Aribo is in Nigeria’s squad to face Portugal on the same day.
