A Lagos businesswoman, Adekanmi Adenike, 42 has been arrested and charged before a Lagos Magistrate’s Court for allegedly forging the local purchase order bearing the name of the management of Animal Care Services Konsult Nigeria.
Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command said the defendant allegedly absconded after presenting the Local purchase documents to the management of Lukefield Finance Limited to secure a N24,929,648 loan with the promise to repay the Loan within 90 days knowing full well that the documents she presented were fake.
Her trouble started when the defendant failed to pay back the loan within the agreed 90 days and she was nowhere to be found.
When all efforts by the management of Lukefield Finance Limited to recover the loan from the defendant proved futile, they contacted the management of Animal Care Services Konsult Nigeria. After presenting the purchase order with No.0000702 for clearance, the management of Animal Care Services Konsult said that the Local purchase order was forged and that they never issued any local purchase to the culprit.
Consequent upon this, the Management of Lukefield Finance Limited petitioned the Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG in charge of Zone 2 Command, Lagos who directed his crack team to fish out the defendant anywhere she might be hiding. The Police team traced the defendant to a hideout in Lagos and arrested her.
