The discovery of 28 men killed by gunfire in the town of Nouna, Burkina Faso has sparked an investigation into the murders.
Prosecutors have not yet revealed any information about the attackers or the motivation behind the killings. The country has been struggling with a rise in violent extremism since a coup in the past years, with the insurgency spiralling over from neighbouring Mali.
