The 2nd edition of the humour awards went down Sunday, 15th January at the Eko hotel convention center in Lagos Nigeria. The first edition housed and awarded some of the country’s biggest comedians, skit makers and content creators. This time, the organizers awarded 20 categories and inducted 4 special honorees.
Four of the inductees in the hall of fame included, 72 year old former Nigerian cartoonist and series producer of Binta and friends, and super story, Wale Adenuga. Sensational actor, Nkem Owoh, popularly known for his Osuofia in London character also got inducted along with Living in Bondage actress, Ngozi Nwosu and Sunday Omobolanle, Member of the order of Niger.
Hosted by Denrele Edun, some of the nights winners included, Female comedian Warri Pikin, for the Most creative comedy show category for her Unfiltered 2022. Adetola Sijuwade PKA Posho Tilly won best online female skit maker and also bagged a 1miillion naira cheque for the revelation of the year award. 13 year old kid comedian Chinedu M. Akuwudike, Special Nedu Alia won the best comedy kid award.
