A tour bus has collided head-on with a van, resulting in at least 20 deaths and 68 injuries. Around 8 o’clock local time, the bus in South Africa rolled off the highway and into a river. Three of the dead were reportedly discovered by the road, and 16 more were found in the river.
The majority of people discovered dead beside the river were trapped inside the vehicle. It is not yet clear how many people the vehicle was carrying, as many people are apparently still thought to be missing.
The van was carrying cash when it struck the bus on the N1 road in the Louis Trichardt district of Limpopo. Although there has been a lot of rain in the area, the crash’s specific reason is yet unknown.
