The New Nigeria Peoples Party‘s (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has voiced his opposition to purported efforts to void the Kano State governorship election.
Results for the governorship election were collated there and figures from all the 44 Local Government Areas (LGAs) were announced, with opposition party in clear lead.
Speaking to journalists in the early hours of Monday morning, he called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to “do the right thing” as his party is in the lead at the INEC collation centre.
In order to avoid any kind of disruption once the state’s results were announced, the previous governor of Kano State urged for fairness.
