After a year of being away, Alibaba founder, Jack Ma has travelled back to China and visited a school he established in the city of Hangzhou. This is according to reports from the South China Morning Post, a media company owned by Alibaba.
Ma, who is also the founder of Ant Group, spoke with the school about education and ChatGPT technology.
Following the announcement, Alibaba’s shares increased by more than 4%. According to the report, the ex-English teacher turned billionaire businessman made a short stop in Hong Kong where he met friends and also took a quick trip to Art Basel before returning to China.
Jack Ma recently gave up control of Ant Group, a major player in Chinese fintech, as part of a reform that aims to put an end to a broader regulation crackdown.
