A helicopter crash has occurred in the Ikeja area, specifically at Oba Akran, a suburb of Lagos. The incident took place near the AP filling station, resulting in chaos in the vicinity. The helicopter said to be heading to Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) suddenly crashed and erupted in flames.
Though two people believed to be the pilots of the helicopter were rescued, it is not clear how many passengers were on board the ill-fated chopper.
The cause of the crash is yet to be established. However, there are concerted efforts by concerned citizens to extinguish the fire. Emergency operatives from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) have arrived at the location.
