With effect from August 24, 2023, President Tinubu has named Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the National Identity Management Commission‘s, NIMC, Acting Director General/Chief Executive Officer.
President Bola Tinubu ordered the National Identity Management Commission’s, NIMC, Director-General/CEO, Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, to begin a 90-day pre-retirement leave with effect from August 24, 2023, and to eventually retire from service on November 24, 2023, according to a statement dated August 22 and signed by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
In the statement, it was also stated that the President had given his approval for Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote to be named the Acting Director-General and CEO of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for a 90-day period beginning on August 24, 2023, and the substantive NIMC Director-General and CEO for a term of four years starting on November 24, 2023.
Additionally, President Tinubu gave his approval for the choice of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub to lead the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC) as its CEO and Director. This comes after Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi, the former CEO and Director of DTAC, just had his contract expire. This appointment is effective right away.
