The Super Eagles of Nigeria faced a 2-0 defeat against Guinea in a pre-Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) friendly match at the Bani Yas Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE on Monday.
Nigeria’s lineup included Umar Sadiq in attack, with Samuel Chukwueze and Moses Simon supporting on the flanks. Victor Boniface was omitted due to an injury sustained in training. Guinea featured in-form striker Serhou Guirassy of Stuttgart up front, with Francois Kamano and Morgan Guilavogui on the wings.
Goals from Camara Aguibou and Facinet Conte secured the victory for Guinea, leaving the Super Eagles with a friendly match defeat ahead of AFCON.
The team is scheduled to return to Nigeria for a send-off party on Tuesday night, just hours before their departure for Cote d’Ivoire to participate in the 34th Africa Cup of Nations finals starting this weekend.
