South Africa have added centre Andre Esterhuizen and lock Marvin Orie to the squad preparing for a key Rugby Championship final round match away to Argentina on August 10.
A bonus-point victory for the Springboks in Salta will ensure they win the southern hemisphere competition for the first time since it was extended to four countries in 2012.
Esterhuizen, a seven-time international started, and Orie, who has two Springboks caps to his name, came off the bench in a home victory over Australia earlier this month but they were excluded for the away match against New Zealand last weekend which was drawn.
Orie played for the Golden Lions in the domestic Currie Cup competition instead while Esterhuizen was inactive because the Sharks had a bye.
South Africa remained in New Zealand to train after the 16-all thriller and will fly from there to Argentina, cutting out a long journey home across the Indian Ocean.
After the Test at the Padre Ernesto Martearena Stadium, South Africa meet the Pumas again the following weekend in a Rugby World Cup warm-up match in Pretoria.
The two-time world champions are in Pool B with holders All Blacks, Canada, Italy and Namibia at the tournament in Japan with the tournament kicking off on September 20.
