The Kwara State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers unleashing terror on residents of the Tanke area of Ilorin South local government area and its environs.
The Command Spokesperson Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, disclosed that a butcher’s knife, a locally made pistol, a small axe, and one dagger were recovered from the thieves after their arrest.
The three suspected criminal gangs, identified as Olamide AbdulRaheem, Taofeek Raheem, and Nuhu Toyeeb have been unleashing terror in the area, making it unsafe and uninhabitable for residents.
Kwara state has witnessed a disturbing rise in gunmen activities in recent times. Last year, the federal government mobilised some security agencies into parts of the state as a move to tackle security challenges.
