Notable Islamic Scholar and Commandant General of Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Ibrahim Daurawa, has resolved his differences with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and has returned to his position.
Investigation showed that although he made his resignation in a video on social media, he has not formally resigned in written and submitted to the appropriate authority.
In a new development Monday night, Daurawa met with the governor in company of some notable personalities.
The Hisbah boss will resume office on Tuesday, according to government sources.
Among those who mediated are the Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Falgore and the Chief Imam of National Mosque, Abuja, Sheikh Ibrahim Maqari.
Governor Yusuf had criticised the modus operandi of ‘operation kau da badala’ – an initiative of the board aimed at fighting immorality in the state.
Daurawa resigned a day after the governor’s criticism and this stirred a lot of reactions and bashing from the public.
The governor was reportedly disturbed over the issue, prompting Monday’s meeting.
