President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Gboyega Soyannwo.
In a condolence message signed by the President’s Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu expressed his deep sorrow over Mr. Soyannwo’s passing, describing it as profoundly agonising.
The President offered his condolences to Governor Sanwo-Olu and members of his administration, acknowledging the significant loss they have suffered. He noted the close bond shared between the governor and the deceased, urging the family of the Deputy Chief of Staff to find solace in his enduring legacy. President Tinubu also assured them of his prayers and support during this difficult time.
The late Soyannwo, born on October 3, 1968, was appointed as the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Sanwo-Olu in 2019 and was reappointed in 2023. He received his primary education at Corona School, Victoria Island, Lagos, from 1974 to 1980, and continued to Kings College for his secondary education from 1980 to 1985.
President Tinubu prayed to God Almighty to grant repose to the soul of the departed.
