Veteran Nollywood actor, Dayo Adewunmi, widely known as “Sule Suebebe,” has passed away.
The Yoruba actor succumbed to illness on Wednesday after battling a protracted illness for several months.
The news of his death was shared by popular Ibadan-based cleric and philanthropist, Ademola Amusan, also known as “Agbala Gabriel,” on his Facebook page, “Agbala Gabriel Global Page.”
The cleric, Agbala Gabriel wrote: “It’s a pity, Baba Suebebe died at the hospital this morning. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
According to reports, the cleric played a crucial role in fundraising for the actor’s medical expenses and, in 2023, he provided a new house for him.
Sule Suebebe, a comedic actor, has appeared in more than 100 films. He gained popularity for his performances in “Suku Suku Bam Bam” (2004) and “Ago Kan Oru” (2003).
In addition to his acting career, he worked as an MC and a television presenter. He also operated a YouTube channel, Suebebe TV, where he created content promoting Yoruba culture and language.
