Nigeria’s women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, have once again confirmed their status as Africa’s leading team in the latest FIFA Women’s World rankings published on Friday, June 14, 2024.
The Super Falcons hold the 36th position globally, maintaining a 15-place lead over their closest African rival, South Africa, ranked 51st. This ranking update takes into account more than 150 international matches played over the past three months, with current World Champions Spain occupying the top spot.
The Super Falcons continue to dominate women’s football in Africa, holding the number one position on the continent (36th globally), followed by South Africa in second place (51st globally), and Morocco in third place (59th globally).
