World leaders have been urged to take decisive action and make steadfast commitments to effectively resolve pressing global crises. The Indonesian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Usra Harahap, made this call in his Eid Adha message to the world, organised by the Indonesian Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
Ambassador Usra Harahap emphasised the importance of peace to safeguard humanity, especially children in affected communities such as Gaza and Ukraine.
He stated, “We are Muslim Communities we are very concerned about peace, especially in Gaza, Ukraine, and other parts of the World. We have to create a concept about how make peace, because it is not nice for us have conflict between human beings for the sake of our children.”
Speaking at the event, the Mexican Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Alfredo Miranda, also expressed his concern about the ongoing crises worldwide.
He stated, “This is very touchy for us, because we see that, the World is still in very difficult struggle and we have not arrived at a peaceful situation, we have many places that are suffering, many things in this moment, the woman, children and Migrants, the problems are huge and they still be considered on how to change and transform a reality.”
He continued, “What is needed is commitment to human beings, we have to start important commitments in order to negotiate and to provide different kind of responses to the problem of lack of peace, food insecurity, and lack of development, that is why the International community should be committed to work together.”
The newly appointed Malaysian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Aliyu Bin Omar, remarked, “Every crisis are happening in the world, because we don’t compromise to each other and there is lack of tolerance among people we can have flexibility of strong humility every crisis in the world can be resolved, the issue of Palestine that is happening in Gaza, there must be solution which must come with flexibility and tolerance among nations which is very crucial in resolving the world crisis.”
The Malaysian High Commissioner concluded, “The conflict in Palestine must be resolved with a two-state solution, and Malaysia is a very strong supporter of Palestine, both diplomatically and financially.”
The event was organised to mark the Eid al-Adha celebration, share joy and happiness, and strengthen diplomatic relations. Ambassadors and High Commissioners from Malaysia, Pakistan, Australia, Mexico, India, Thailand, Syria, and South Korea were among the diplomats who graced the occasion.
