Four members of the Imo State House of Assembly were suspended on Tuesday by the Speaker, Chike Olemgbe.
The Speaker accused them of planning to remove him from his position.
The suspended members are Samuel Otuibe, Henry Agbasonu, Chidiebere Ogbunikpa, and Dominic Ezerioha. The decision to suspend them was made during a closed-door meeting.
The Speaker also took away the committees these members were working on. Some of the suspended members were present when the announcement was made, but they refused to talk to reporters.
