Reports say at least 150 locals, including newborn babies in the Dan Isa community of Kauran Namoda local government area in Zamfara State, were kidnapped by bandits over the weekend.
Also, over 30 people were abducted by hoodlums in the Maradun Local Government Area of the state.
BBC Hausa reports that the community has been deserted since the incident.
A survivor claims the hoodlums killed three locals and rustled all the cows and other animals in the community.
Mr Yazid Abubakar, the Zamfara State Police Command, when contacted, said he is yet to receive information about the kidnap.
