President Joe Biden will address the nation from the Oval Office on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. Eastern Time to discuss his decision to withdraw from the presidential race and what comes next.
“Tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET, I will address the nation from the Oval Office on what lies ahead and how I will finish the job for the American people,” Biden said in a message posted Tuesday on X.
This follows his recent announcement on social media that he will not seek a second term.
Biden, who had to leave the campaign trail last week after testing positive for Covid, made his decision following concerns from Democrats about his potential loss to Republican nominee Donald Trump.
In his announcement, Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, who has now secured enough support to become the Democratic nominee.
Harris’ campaign has raised over $100 million since the news broke.
