The News Central Television crew, led by correspondent Benard Akede, were subjected to harassment and intimidation while covering the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protests in Lagos on Tuesday.
The crew members were seen being threatened by armed thugs carrying batons and sticks, while Akede attempted to continue his live report to the studio.
In the midst of the chaos, the thugs could be heard ordering the crew to vacate the premises without delay. These thugs forcefully pushed the crew into their press vehicle.
The aggressive behaviour of the armed thugs towards the News Central Television crew was yet another incident in the ongoing spate of attacks against journalists and protesters during the #EndBadGovernance protests, despite repeated calls for such attacks to cease.
