The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially appointed Aliyu Zubairu as the new head coach of the Flying Eagles, Nigeria’s U20 national football team. This decision was made following a recommendation from the NFF’s Technical and Development Sub-Committee.
Aliyu Zubairu, who recently led El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri to victory in the President Federation Cup against Abia Warriors FC in June, will begin his role immediately.
His first major task will be to assemble and prepare the team for the upcoming WAFU B U20 Championship, set to take place in October and November in Togo. The tournament will determine the zone’s representative for the 2024 Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
