Catherine, Princess of Wales, announced on Monday that she has completed her chemotherapy treatment following a surprising cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
In a message shared on X and Instagram, Kate Middleton, as she is fondly called, expressed her relief at finishing the rigorous treatment. She described the past nine months as “incredibly tough” for her family, including her husband Prince William and their children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.
“Life can change in an instant, and we have had to navigate through this challenging period,” she said. “My focus now is on staying cancer-free and continuing on the path to healing and full recovery.”
Despite finishing her chemotherapy, Catherine acknowledged that her journey to full recovery will be ongoing. “I will take each day as it comes,” she added, noting her eagerness to return to work and participate in public engagements in the coming months.
Catherine initially revealed in March that she was undergoing “preventative chemotherapy” for an unspecified cancer. This announcement followed the disclosure that King Charles III had also been diagnosed with cancer. The 75-year-old monarch was cleared to resume his public duties in April after doctors expressed optimism about his progress.
