At the 7th International Aerospace and Space Exhibition in Marrakech, Morocco strengthened its defence partnerships by signing military and technical cooperation agreements with Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.
These new agreements encompass areas such as training, defence industry support, cybersecurity, technical support, and military healthcare.
Present at the signing ceremony were Morocco’s Minister Delegate for National Defence, Abdeltif Loudyi, Southern Zone Commander Mohammed Berrid, Czech Defence Minister Jana Cernochova, and Azerbaijani Defence Minister General Zakir Hasanov.
Cernochova praised Morocco’s regional importance on X, calling it a key Maghreb country that serves as a guarantor of regional stability. She also highlighted discussions on defence industry cooperation and global security concerns.
The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry confirmed the talks between Hasanov and Moroccan officials, underscoring both nations’ commitment to expanding military-technical collaboration. Both ministers commended Morocco’s social and economic progress, acknowledging its role as “a beacon of stability” in the Euro-Mediterranean and African regions.
