Five Nigerian teenagers who were trafficked to Ghana under the pretext of job opportunities reunited with their families on Monday, November 4, in Lagos State.
Ghanaian security officers worked in collaboration with News Central on a comprehensive investigation led by the television station, successfully rescuing the boys and arresting a member of the trafficking syndicate.
The reunion was an emotional moment captured on camera as the teenagers Daniel Duruji, Zeal Nduaguibe, Bright Paulinus, Ezekiel Okon and Victor Eze finally embraced their loved ones.
This development follows News Central’s earlier report detailing the heartfelt pleas from their mothers and residents of Ikota Resettlement Estate in Lagos.
They urged authorities to accelerate their efforts to locate and rescue their children, who had been lured by unidentified individuals promising employment.
News Central’s special correspondent, Marshall Ononye, provided this update.
