Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won the 2024 Ondo governorship election held on November 16, securing victory in all 18 Local Governments.
Announcing the result at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Akure, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Oluwatoyin Babalola, returned Aiyedatiwa as governor, having polled a total of 366781 to defeat Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party who garnered 117845 votes.
