The Borno State Police Command has successfully thwarted an attack by Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in the Malari village area of Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
In a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, the incident occurred on November 27, 2024, around 1:00 AM. A crack police team engaged the terrorists in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to retreat with gunshot wounds.
During a subsequent search of the area, security personnel discovered an abandoned Toyota Hilux vehicle rigged with explosives. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team swiftly neutralised the threat, ensuring the community’s safety.
Commissioner of Police Mohammed Lawal Yusufu commended the police officers for their bravery and vigilance. He urged residents to remain calm and report suspicious activity to the authorities.
