British heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois is set to defend his IBF world title against New Zealand’s Joseph Parker in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on February 22, 2025.
Dubois, 27, is riding high after his emphatic first title defence in September, where he knocked out Anthony Joshua in the fifth round at Wembley Stadium.
Parker, 32, a former WBO titleholder, is a seasoned contender in the division. He held the WBO belt from 2016 to 2018 before losing it to Anthony Joshua on points.
More recently, Parker has rejuvenated his career with two notable wins: an upset victory over former WBC champion Deontay Wilder last year and a dominant performance over Zhilei Zhang in March to claim the WBO interim title.
The bout is expected to be a thrilling matchup, pitting Dubois’ raw power against Parker’s experience and resilience. Both fighters aim to solidify their places at the top of the heavyweight division in what promises to be a blockbuster event in Saudi Arabia.
