Doctors Without Borders (MSF) condemned an Israeli raid on the Turkish Hospital in Tubas, West Bank, on Tuesday, claiming that Israeli forces opened fire inside the facility.
According to MSF, the raid lasted for an hour and resulted in the detention of five medical staff members, one of whom was wounded. The hospital’s emergency room was damaged, and staff were threatened at gunpoint and subjected to aggressive questioning. Patients were reportedly told to remain still or risk being shot.
MSF’s deputy head of mission for Palestine, Karine Robert, called the incident unacceptable and shocking, noting that this is part of a larger pattern of attacks on healthcare facilities in the West Bank in recent months.
The medical charity called for greater protection and respect for medical facilities, staff, and patients.
