Dan Ashworth, the sporting director of Manchester United, departed the team on Sunday after only five months.
During the summer transfer window, Ashworth, who was hired on July 1st, 2024, managed the expenditure of more than £200 million, according to Sky Sports.
“Dan Ashworth will be stepping down as Manchester United’s sporting director per a mutual agreement. “We wish Dan well for the future and appreciate his efforts and support during this time of transition for the club,” the club statement said.
