The French crime musical Emilia Pérez has taken the spotlight at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, earning a leading ten nominations. The nominees for the 82nd edition of the awards were unveiled on Monday.
In the film categories, Emilia Pérez leads with ten nods, followed by The Brutalist with seven and Conclave with six.
Pop stars Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez are both in the running for Best Supporting Actress, recognized for their roles in Wicked and Emilia Pérez, respectively. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus is nominated for Best Original Song.
The awards ceremony will take place on January 5, 2025, at the Beverly Hilton in California. The event will also feature special honours for Viola Davis, who will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and Ted Danson, set to be recognised with the Carol Burnett Award.
