Abba Yusuf, the governor of Kano State, has instructed all recently reassigned commissioners to finish giving up their duties by Tuesday, December 17, 2024, to facilitate a seamless transition by the end of work hours.
The governor’s spokeswoman, Malam Sanusi Dawakin Tofa, confirmed the instruction in a press release on Sunday. It emphasised that the cabinet rearrangement will fully take effect at the next council meeting on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
“All commissioners who are impacted by the changes are instructed to transfer their duties between Monday, December 16 and Tuesday, December 17, 2024,” the statement emphasised.
The governor’s plan to improve governance includes a cabinet reshuffle.
In his message to the state executive council, Yusuf emphasised the importance of completing all transition processes within the allotted timeframe to ensure minimal disruption to government operations.
He urged members to uphold a strong commitment to supporting the administration in fulfilling its promises to the people of Kano State, saying, “The spirit of teamwork, dedication, and commitment remains crucial for achieving our collective goal of serving the good people of Kano.”
