A highly skilled young football player from Nigeria, Yaqub Usman-Malah, has officially signed a contract with Brito Sporting Club of Portugal, a football team established in 1956.
The youthful, talented football player was formally unveiled on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
Born in Nigeria in 2006, Yaqub is a young Nigerian artist with incalculable ability and promise.
He attended Brooke College Football Academy in the UK as a student and trainee player before signing a formal contract with Brito Sporting Club.
Yaqub played 2,270 minutes on the field during his time at Brooke College Football Academy, averaging 17 goals in 32 games without being hurt throughout 116 training days.
Yaqub’s Under-17B team’s head coach gave a heartfelt testimonial to his exceptional accomplishments at the academy.
According to head coach Tomasz Wasylik, Yaqub’s professionalism and unrivalled work ethic make him a “well-liked person” and an inspiration to his teammates.
In the 2023–2024 season, Yaqub participated in National School Cup contests against other programmes and colleges.
According to the lead coach, he is a good “tactical player,” “technically good,” and able to “play in multiple positions on the pitch. Yaqub has the talent and promise to succeed in his new team.”
In a statement released to the public on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Yaqub’s father, Mr Usman-Malah, said, “We wish Yaqub a successful career and a place in the halls of football greatness across the globe while looking forward to the display of his unquestionable skills and boundless stamina.”
