Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet will host and perform in one of the two new episodes of the 50th season of “Saturday Night Live” that premiered in January.
Chalamet will play two parts on the January 25 episode of the popular NBC comedy sketch show, which was announced on Friday. On January 18, comedian Dave Chappelle will host, and on the same day, singer GloRilla will make an appearance as a musical guest.
In the recently released movie “A Complete Unknown,” Chalamet plays a young Bob Dylan and performs some of his greatest Dylan songs.
In the musical picture, which tells the story of Dylan’s historic decision to play an electric guitar at the 1965 Newport Music Festival, the “Dune” star is receiving a lot of Oscar buzz.
Additionally, Elle Fanning and Edward Norton, who are also receiving accolades this year, star in the film.
Having already hosted “Saturday Night Live” twice, in December 2020 and November 2023, Chalamet was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the 2018 episode of “Call Me By Your Name.” In April 2021, he appeared on the show as well.
He has been impersonated on “SNL” a lot, most famously by Chloe Fineman.
