Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star Davido has confirmed that his fifth studio album, 5ive, will drop on March 14, 2025.
The announcement was made via a pre-save link shared across his social media on Saturday, with the message: “5ive is scheduled to be released on March 14.”
This album follows the success of A Better Time (2020) and Timeless (2023). Anticipation is high, fuelled by two singles released in 2024: “Awuke” featuring YG Marley and “Funds,” which samples Brenda Fassie’s 1997 hit “Vuli Ndlela.”
In December, the 32-year-old artist described 5ive as a deeply personal project, saying, “This is straight from the heart — my story, my truth, and my growth.”
Davido, born David Adeleke, rose to fame with his 2012 hit “Dami Duro” and has since become a global icon, with albums like A Good Time (2019) and A Better Time (2020).
As the founder of DMW (Davido Music Worldwide), he has also championed emerging talent, solidifying his status as one of Africa’s leading music figures.
