The wife of a former Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu, was abducted from her home in the Arepo neighbourhood of Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria.
This was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer for the Ogun Police Command, Omolola Odutola, in Abeokuta, the state’s capital.
The community was shocked and terrified when the kidnappers launched a coordinated attack on the home in the Arepo neighbourhood of the state’s Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.
According to Odutola, the victim’s Lexus Jeep was attacked just as she was ready to enter her house. She went on to say that Mrs Odumosu was pulled from the vehicle and driven to an unidentified place through a marsh. She was abducted from her home in the Arepo neighbourhood of Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria.
The event in the state capital of Abeokuta was confirmed by Omolola Odutola, Public Relations Officer for the Ogun Police Command.

“A group of officers led by the divisional police officer have arrived at the scene and are presently searching the swampy bush area,” she stated.
According to the police spokeswoman, “Local security forces have been deployed to the riverine area by contacting the Baale of Warewa and Maaba.”
