The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service has successfully contained a fire at the Bogobiri House, a hotel located in the Ikoyi area of Lagos.
The agency’s director, Margaret Adeseye, confirmed the incident in a statement posted on X.com on Saturday. According to Adeseye, the fire broke out at approximately 20:06 hours at the one-storey building on Maitama Sule Street, Ikoyi.
Fire crews from Dolphin and Ebute Elefun stations swiftly intervened to extinguish the blaze, which had started on the upper floor of the hotel. The fire was confined to the floor of origin, sparing the rest of the building and surrounding properties.
The operation concluded with no casualties, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
