On Tuesday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said US President Donald Trump may contribute to Middle East peace during an Arab League summit on Gaza reconstruction.
Sisi brought up the historic 1979 peace deal between Egypt and Israel, which was mediated by the United States.

He claimed that it had changed “enmity, war, and the desire for revenge into lasting peace and reciprocal diplomatic relations.
“I am sure that President Trump can adopt and start a serious and successful political process that leads to a fair and long-lasting solution to the Palestinian cause. The time has come.”
