Francis Amin Michael, president of South Sudan Football Association has partnered with FIFA to develop and blood young players. The president of the association Francis Amin Michael stated on his twitter page that for African football to evolve, infrastructures needed to be built in all institutions.
In his words ” blooding young players in south Sudan is a step in the right direction, one which must be taken, so we must first build international football standard stadiums for a legacy they will use even after we depart football. It will bring foreign attention, investment and success”.
“I am very optimistic that the part we have taken as south Sudan football association to partner with FIFA will help us achieve our dreams of having our players playing in modern stadiums. Great talent can only be nurtured, when there is football infrastructures”, he said.
The building of Wau stadium by the Sudan football association, shows a great step towards infrastructural development. The government of Sudan also urged the populace and all stakeholders to support infrastructural development in Sudanese football.
