More than three months after the internationally-known Lekki Tollgate incident, the judicial panel set up in Lagos state to look into complaints against the now-disbanded SARS section of the Police has reordered the reopening of the tollgate.
A public outcry has however followed the decision to reopen the tollgate, which was the site of a shooting incident involving officials of the Nigerian army and protesting civilians.
There have been claims of loss of lives, although the Nigerian army has denied killing anyone.
Three months after the incident, Nigerians are yet to know who ordered the shootings at the Lekki tollgate.

On Sunday, news filtered in that the tollgate was to be reopened, but Nigerians quickly expressed their displeasure with the decision and on Monday, flyers of a Lekki tollgate protest have made the rounds on microblogging social medium, Twitter.
The hashtag, #OccupyLekkiTollgate is ranked number one on Nigeria Twitter space, with many also questioning the decision of the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari to nominate the former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Buratai (rtd) as a non-career ambassador.
With the military still unable to provide compelling evidence and explanations as to its non-involvement in the alleged shootings of the 20th of October 2020, Nigerians have criticised the President on the fresh appointment extended to Buratai.
The protest, according to fliers making the rounds, will be held on Saturday, the 13th of February.
