Embattled former Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Abdullahi Dikko Inde is dead.
Dikko enlisted in the Customs in 1988, where he was appointed Comptroller-General of Customs in August 2009, a position he held until 2015.
He has been standing trial on corruption charges against him and two others by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC).
Dikko faced several allegations including graft and corruption. He entered a plea bargain with the Federal Government to refund $8 million, believed to have been misappropriated during his tenure.
