Days after lifting travel restrictions on travellers to and from the Democratic Republic of Congo, the United States government has extended the action to another African state facing Ebola, Guinea.
The administration led by President Joe Biden declared on Thursday that travellers from Guinea can now come to the United States from Friday.
Recall that the Homeland Security had on the 3rd of May announced that Congolese coming to America and American nationals moving the other way can now travel from anywhere, with previous restrictions limiting those who have been to Congo DR or Guinea in the last 21 days to traveling in one of six airports; New York-JFK; Chicago; Atlanta; Washington Dulles; Newark, New Jersey; or Los Angeles.
Guinea has not reported any case of Ebola Virus disease since April.
