Liverpool African imports, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, have taken a trip with fellow Reds teammates to Austria for warm-up games ahead 2021/2022 season.
The duo alongside Trent Alexander Arnold, James Milner, Divock Origi, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all fit to participate in the practice season and manager Jurgen Klopp has lined up two 30 minute sessions with Wacker Innsbruck and Stuttgart on July 23.
Also on July 29, Liverpool will play Mainz and Hertha Berlin.
Klopp, who lost the Premier League title to Manchester City last season, chose Austria so he would not be in the limelight that usually accompanies pre-season tours to places like the USA.
The Austrian trip creates the perfect opportunity for Virgil Van Dijk to return from a long-term knee injury after he decided not to play for Holland at the Euros.
The German tactician will also get a chance to assess his new signing, Ibrahima Konate, in warm-up action.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace new manager, Patrick Viera, has enquired from Arsenal to see if they are willing to release a couple of players on loan.
Palace released 22 players at the end of the season and their squad is very thin. Vieira is reportedly eyeing two players, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah, for a loan move.
